The Music of Strangers: Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble

The great Yo Yo Ma created the incredible Silk Road Ensemble in 2000 which has since gone on to international reputation of concerts and recordings that do the soul a lot of good. This inspirational playing with different, 'atypical' instruments from some countries spice things up. Director Morgan Neville has just the right temperament to showcase Yo Yo and other prominent members of the ensemble. This won't appeal to a really young audience nor to people estranged from various forms of 'classical' music.
