Babes in Arms

Mickey Moran (Mickey Rooney), talented son of a renowned vaudeville duo, rallies fellow stage kids to stage a lavish show and save his struggling parents and other performers from financial ruin. Joined by his partner Patsy Barton (Judy Garland), a pretty and gifted singer who shares his affections, Mickey seizes a big contract opportunity to mount his own production. But when disaster strikes, he improvises a countryside performance amid awful weather to evade a work farm, determined to realize his dream of a grand-scale staging despite a freak hurricane threatening to destroy it all.
