This makes the classic mistake: it figures it has to 'out epic' the first movie. You end up with an indestructible protagonist and when you do that, it's really hard to build up any drama. Also, in this world apparently police don't exist. They just overcooked this movie. The cinematography is beautiful and the art direction is fantastic, but the action is really blah, and it's so over the top it's hard to feel any drama.
