A bit of a disappointment in all honesty. Heath Ledger was brilliant so let's just get that right out of the way, but the rest of the cast was flat and unspectacular. Maggie Gyllenhal was unintersting and poorly cast for the role of Rachel Dawes. Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne seemed to have lost something since Batman Begins. His performance was inconsistent and forced. The gadgets and technology were very weak. Batman seemed incredibly vulnerable and not as mysetrious. The raspy voice was overdone. The plot was riddled with holes and the Joker somehow gets the best of Batman in one of the final sequences. How did that happen? A very forgettable film.

Well said. 6/10 is about right.
[...] IMDb has this film rated near the top of all time favorites, probably because of Ledger's brilliant performance. Who wants to see the same old Batman shtick. We're in the 21st century. You negative opinions are about as good as your review of the movie. Sincerely, Jack Nicholson.
So you're a sheep? Because IMDb rates a movie well makes it so? Have you liked every movie ever made that was rated well by IMDb or others? Get a life, get an opinion, and stop being a mindless follower attempting to force your meaningless opinion on me.
Agreed with about the first half of your review. Batmans vulnerability and lack of gadgets are called for though. Chris Nolan wanted to make it realistic as if an ordinary person where to don the cape and I think he succeeded in that. Defiantly not riddled with plot holes though I can think of maybe one or two.
