    The Hunger Games

The Girl and little kids acted very well... Other than that the movie had me thinking the whole way through were the writers of the book and film deficient in brain cells or something? This movie and the story are disgusting and a blatant display of war mongering propaganda that subconciousley gets young people accustomed to killing each other and war. The story is a piece of garbage I'm sorry I wasted time out of my life seeing it. I'm disgusted that these types of books, stories and films are stashed down kids throats at school etc... I would much rather be watching something happy and positive like a comedy or something... Don't take your kids or little brothers and sisters.

This is a post apocalyptic book and film meant to represent the repercussions of our decisions at present. In no way does this book make children accustom to war more than any other type of news network. This fictional novel and movie are not "garbage" and if you had taken some time to read this book you would find that it is well written and an asset to literature. It teaches young adults about symbolism and incorporates an easy-to-follow plot with good language. Also, these books are not being stuffed down the throats of children and teens as it is simply a book for pleasure. I don't know about you, but anything that gets young adults reading is an improvement over these kids not wanting to read at all.

Statistics show that children and teens read far more now then they did just 10 years ago, because of the internet and nature of media and communication these days, so reading is not a problem. It's the Content that matters. What kids are exposed to has an effect on their ideas, beliefs, behavior, you must remember these are their formative years... With so much going on in the world right now, war, etc... It's clearly far more beneficial for young people to watch read SPEND THEIR MONEY AND TIME on more positive books, movies, even if it is just for "pleasure". (This is just the case, pleasure being obtained from violence or the idea that it should be readily used to solve problems.) If we as their families, adults, don't look out for them don't expect big corporations, studios, etc... to take on the responsibility. History has shown that has not been the case and I very much doubt that we will see any different. Thank you though, for your comment.

Yeah I definetley will watch something happy and positive like a comedy next time! Didn't I already say that? :) The point of the review is to give other like minded adults who are concerned about what their little kids are exposed to, a heads up of what to expect, cause you can't exactly erase a kids memory now can you, lol! But thanks for your comment! I'm not stopping you from watching it, it's your prerogative what you want to do.
