When the Game Stands Tall is such a cliche biopic. This movie probably wouldn't have been half bad if it didn't start at the point where the football team had already won 150 or so games in a row. Then we'd have time to care about the characters, because about twenty minutes in our characters get into trouble, yet we don't care that much about them yet. They aren't even 50% of the way to being fully developed yet. But things happen to them anyway, and anybody watching this will have lost their train of thought about the film.
