    Blue Velvet

Kyle MacLachlan is given top billing in this David Lynch cult film but, make no mistake about it, evil psychopath Dennis Hopper will be the one you are trying not to watch. In any municipality that has grown and become prosperous because of one primary industry, white picket fences and manicured lawns abound everywhere. Townspeople will of course deny that someone of Hopper's ilk is a neighbour. However director/author Lynch shows us a side of life that, regrettably, does exist behind some closed doors. Lynch has created an erotic, psychotic drug infested crime/horror tale that may not end up being your favourite film of the year, but you won't soon forget it.
