I kind of enjoyed the silent, take no crap, nice guy Gosling played; it could have been 30 minutes longer to get to know his character better. The driving scene at the start was excellent; a calm pro, thinking clearly under pressure. I always enjoy Cranston as I'm a big fan of Breaking Bad, but the contrast between Ron Pearlman and the rest of the cast was a bit strong. Disappointed with the ending though. It could have gone a few different ways that would have been better. C'mon, use a gun, get the girl, keep the money, etc.
