Life is a decent offering in the sci-fi horror genre but falls short of its potential and doesn't earn its R rating. It doesn't take long for the plot sequences to strain credibility which instantly detracts from the film leaving only the creature effects to carry what's left. They are clever, and even original, but it's not enough and the final panic-driven moments don't advance the experience beyond mediocre fun. The plot twist was as predictable as sunrise. Too bad, I had high hopes that just weren't realized.
