Something happened on the way to production. This movie was light on any credible sci-fi substance. The plot was paper thin, the effects weak and meager, and the acting... well, what little there was wasn't enough to save the film. Guy Pierce is the saving grace as opposed to Maggie Grace, who portrays a character you want to hate as much as the convicts terrorizing the space prison. In the end it's mindless and far from riveting but not the worst I've seen.
