Sometimes it is better not to know too much the life of an artist, as great as he can be. Turner was a precursor of impressionalism and had a keen eye for color and density. He was a great artist but a lesser great humain being in many aspects of his life. If you don't know Turner's work, you might have noticed one of his paintings in the last Bond movie when 007 meets with the new Q at the museum. Q is commenting on a Turner painting in front of them. Great acting, great set direction, costume and makeup. I highly recommend to art lovers.
