This movie is in 4 different parts and none of them really work. It starts out as a sentimental comedy in space which seems to last forever then sudden drama turns it into a sentimental drama, then finally after more than an hour of going nowhere slow come the science-fiction bits and finally it returns to its origin as a sentimental comedy. The dialogs seem to have been written by a 12 year old. The protagonists keep stating the obvious. The ending is pathetic and I was relieved when it finally came. Why did Jennifer Lawrence decide to appear in a movie like this is one of life's great mysteries. It's not all bad. The ship itself is cool looking, the effects are good, Arthur the android steals the show and Jennifer Lawrence appears in different states of undress throughout the film. No redeeming value apart from that.
