    The Master

Joaquin Pheonix will probably be nominated in the Best Actor category at the Oscar or Golden Globe for his performance in that movie. So will Phillip Seymour-Hoffman and Amy Adams probably be in the Best Actor/Actress in a Supporting Role. The Photography, Set, Costume, Hair & Make-up Directors also deserve a nomination for the post-WW2 environment they immersed us into but this is all of the extent of what that movie did for me. The plot and the message were thin, long and uneventful, even uninteresting to me. There were too many over-exploited sexual/nudity scenes that seemed disconnected from the storyline. It was a very long movie where I found myself wanting to leave at several occasions during the presentation but decided to stay in hope to get a “punch line” that never came.
