If you want to see the brilliance of Helen Mirren and the best movie so far about the looted riches during the Nazi era, then this is a must-see. It is an incredible true story about the famous Klimt painting -- Woman in Gold. It is beautifully told evoking the richness and culture of pre-war wealthy Jewish Austria. It has several layers. The old Jewish woman robbed of her aristocratic life in Vienna living her simple life in America; the young Jewish American lawyer reconnecting with his Austrian heritage; the Austrian government seemingly righteous and bent on making things right, while actually thwarting the process. This is a best picture nominee for sure!
