A fascinating film that leaves us in our hunger… Set in a beautiful London, Woody Allen's latest is an interesting and fanatical movie with character's that defines the writing of it crazier director. The story is based on a pair of married couples Alfie (Hopkins) and Helena (Jones), and their daughter Sally (Watts) and companion Roy (Brolin) who are under the pressure of their relationship. While Alfie is convinced that his relation with his wife is a lost cause he decides to track his lost adolescence along a feisty prostitute named Charmaine (Punch) Helena shattered by the bitter truth of her husband leaving her decides to submit her life to an absurd fortune teller. Miserable in her marriage Sally is head-over-heel on her charming boss Greg (Banderas) the owner of an Art Gallery. While Roy a writer, is anxiously waiting the feedbacks to his latest book develops a crush over Dia (Pinto), an Indian woman who can't stop watching him through the window. Now we all agree the cast ensemble is one of the years finest but does that element make us believe in this chaotic world that Allen has set us in? I always love a crazy, sassy and exaggerate movie but in my point of view this movie fails desperately. The writing is fresh, but sometimes we don't believe in the screenplay which is really restricted; we don't feel the vibe of the good and passionate Woody Allen. The acting is vast every character has it charms but the whole movie doesn't fit to the shoes Allen has to fit in every movie… Overall; You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger is pretty messy, chaotic but we can't get rid of that madness Woody Allen has to offer us each and every time.
