The 10th District Court:
Moments of Trials
Total score 8.0
InfoOriginal title: 10e chambre, instants d'audience (French).
2004. 1h45m. Documentary directed by Raymond Depardon.
SynopsisRecorded court sessions covering the 10th arrondissement in Paris, involving 169 people appearing before the formidable Madame Justice Michèle Bernard-Requin. Bernard-Roquin's combination of patient, rational concern and unyielding devotion to justice is balanced by an intimation that she is nevertheless an agent of a system that does not work, that creates inequality and then forces those on its margins to endless cycles of poverty and crime.
