Sequel to 2 other movies where we saw Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy in their twenties then in their thirdies, we now see them in their forthies. Their relationship seem idilic on the surface but as any other couple it hides a bunch of unsaid little frustrations that will all surface when Jesse is confronted with the pain of having to let his son go back to his mother in Chicago after spending the summer with him in Greece. Good exploitation of the dialogues. They are rendered with such a disarming natural that it is almost as hears dropping on your neighbour discussion over the fence. Technically, cameramen will have a feast over the long shots and the utilisation of light. If you have seen the 2 previous movies, you don't want to miss this one. If you haven't, it is still a good summer movie.
