    Café Society

Cafe Society is only average Woody Allen, which is 'above average' by most Hollywood standards. The setting of the story is bi-coastal - Hollywood and New York. The Hollywood story is charming and entertaining, the NY story seemed forced and was more like a morality play. The two parts just didn't work well together in my opinion. Woody Allen is very good at making fun of Hollywood and that part of the movie was entertaining, the rest less so. The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous, and the actors and art direction were beautiful too. Of course, all Woody Allen fans should go see this movie in their local theatre.
