I guess some of our political leaders foxed their global economy classes or didn’t have Robert Reich as professor because this movie actually makes much sense but it is not at all the direction that Mr. Harper or Mme Marois are taking us. I hope this will be translated or sub-titled in French so that everybody could take a Global Economy 101, 201 and 301 crash courses. This movie was wrapped up before the US Government financial crisis of last October but it is not difficult to understand how it came to it in light of this movie. Yes, it is a movie about US economy but the transposition from their economy to ours is easy to do. We suffer from the same economic symptoms as US economy does. Mr. Harper is making sure we head that way with the savage cuts in governmental programs, promising millions of dollars to foreign counties’ education (latest in South Africa) when our education system and our citizens are so much in need of help to compete in the global economy. This movie needs to be seen by everybody who is tired of having the governments pick into their pockets instead of picking in those of the richest party contributors, those who are scared to unionize, those who see their income stagnate or regressing while their companies are paying record bonuses to their CEOs. Economic inequality is necessary in our system. It is injustice that is not when the economical balance is altered to its core.
