I will give credit where it's due. On a $20MM budget, this was well done. Kudos for a Canuck using local scenery and actors as well. However, I was disappointed with the 1 hour "love story" between the first 10 minute and last 25 minute battle scenes. I know a good story cannot be 100% action alone, but this was a let down for me. I was just anticipating... something..."more". The battle scenes on this one didn't even come close to the intensity or believability of movies like Saving Private Ryan or the Thin Red Line. While it is unfair to compare to those monster budget movies, it's still a valid point to me.
