Reading the other reviews it seems that people are expecting a stereotypical Rock movie. It didn't have the usual kick butt 'Rock' scenarios, and for that I enjoyed the change. Susan Sarandon's part was a typical politically ambitious D. A. which she played well; no surprises there. I also enjoyed Barry Pepper's role. I found it to be a believable story and the characters were real enough, and Benjamin Bratt added to this. Much better than most of the Rock's movies and it seems he can play a serious role well. I look forward to seeing it again. I would just go see it without the expectations and let yourself enjoy it. I certainly did. It's nice to see he can act; there are enough tough guy, fighting and shoot em up movies out there.
