The pace of this movie is rushed and though colourful and portrays the imagination of a child as it was intended, the storyline is not as unique as some might portray. It is like something that someone in grade 9 might write as a short story themed "write a story about your relationship with your father (parents)" and was evident from the beginning with the disconnected "master builders" references. It could have been much better and had a few holes in the story but I don't want to be a spoiler. The children in the theater truly enjoyed the movie but it moved so quickly that even the humor intended for them was sometimes overshot. Entertaining but a "once seen, soon forgotten" movie, though there will DEFINITELY be a sequel with the open ended conclusion to the movie. It would have been a nice touch if the producers had added some faux deleted scenes during the credits but I guess they felt they had spent enough on what they did.
