Up in the Air

I went to see it with no expectations and I was more than pleasantly surprised. If you enjoyed Juno, you should like this one too. The scenario is of course very different but there is a similar flavor to this Jason Reitman movie. I like the fact that there is some depth and social messages in his movies but it never has a moralist or accusatory tone to it. It lets the viewer make their own interpretations and draw their own conclusions based upon their own life situations and experiences. I found Clooney and supporting actors and actresses to be generally excellent. The humor is also sharp and witty which only helps to make it that much better. I can't see how I could give it less than a 9. If you want action, blood, guns, violence, horror, foul language and steamy sex scenes, this is not for you. If you like a movie that is thought provoking and humorous without being full of clichés or moral dogmatisms, you might really enjoy yourself.
