An overall comment is that if you liked the original, you will find this movie better. Humour as always is subjective, so what is funny for you may not be funny for me. That aside, this movie made a creative effort at physical comedy as well as Hill's "awkwardissity". lol Like Brigit Jone's diary the focal point of the movie was Jonah Hill's ability to make ANY scene awkward with his "stream of thoughts". Often his thoughts were verbalized leading to those awkward silent moments. For the movie they made a very feeble attempt at a storyline. This was a major fail. But if you are a comedy fan you will love the character portrayed by Brie Larson--SHE is a comedic genius. Every scene that included her was memorable. As always with these type of movies there are far too many gaps. It is as though the director does not care if he or she insults our intelligence as long as there is some kind of physical comedy... Maybe you should wait for the rental, but if you have a date night, this might be fun.
