After the death of their father, a family of five are forced to survive on their own in a Kurdish village on the border of Iran and Iraq. Matters are made worse when they learn that their youngest brother suffers from a terminal illness and needs an immediate operation in order to remain alive. In a harrowing race against time, in a place where even the horses are fed liquor in order to work, the siblings will take desperate measures to pay for the life-saving operation.
