This installment of the Rocky series sees Sylvester Stallone passing on the mantle to Michael B. Jordan who plays Apollo Creed's son in the movie. This sequel works exceptionally well to reinvigorate the series with new blood and Michael does not disappoint. Full of fiery rage and need for self assertion and becoming his own man, Adonis Creed is a wonderful character full of intricacies that Michael utilizes and embodies very well. Creed mixes, love, life, health, comedy all in one gem of a picture that unlike the original series doesn't try to be "Epic" but stays much more grounded in a true to life form. The action, growth and lessons that are part of every rocky movie are still here albeit in different forms. Sylvester Stallone is showing his age in the movie and doesn't try to hide it. It may be one of his last appearances in the franchise as he is nearing 70! Either way, the entire movie is an astounding success in my opinion and I simply cannot see anyone going to see this movie being disappointed by it in any way. Whether you decide to see it in the theaters or at home, if you liked Rocky movies, it's a movie definitely worth watching.
