Dear Doctor

After graduating from a Tokyo medical college, Soma (Eita) surprisingly opts for a job in a remote mountain village with a mostly elderly population, assisting the local doctor, Ito. Everything goes well until a serious medical problem arises: a widow in the village has stomach cancer, probably inoperable, and wants to conceal the fact from her adult daughter, who works in a medical centre in Tokyo. Ito finds it easy to keep her 'little secret' for her because he has one of his own: he's a conman with no medical qualifications who has managed to win the love and trust of the entire community.
