HUGE SPOILER ALERT Wow, high rating on this one. Are we a little starved for creativity? Blomkamp... descendant of the Boers. MNU is the UN with its white tanks. Wikus obviously the dutch Boer, undergoing a taste of his own medicine (and cat food) I laughed when that lady said he wasn't going to get special medical help as a fugitive. But who'd WANT prolonged sexual activity with those beauties, even if they do make great bombs? This film didn't know if it wanted to be a comedy or a horror. Poor Wikus and his (medically unsupervised) meltdown. Focus, damnit Wikus or you'll be replaced. Honey are you okay? As he's growing black claws. Wikus: Was it a black fluid in a cylindrical container? Poor man. Daddy-in-law really didn't like him after all, did he? This movie's gonna become a noisy cult classic! Black are sure cast in a bad light: inter-species pimping, betting on fights between small creatures, eating alien body parts. Way to set back race relations between whites and blacks back six thousand centuries! And Why choose blacks as co-oppressors? Rather insulting considering it was whites who committed apartheid against them. But that would have been in Blomkamp's daddy's day. Short history lesson, one of apartheid's lasting effects is the inability to govern self. Favorite line: "What's wrong? Nothing, go outside and watch for humans" Should have been a tagline.

From what I got from the movie, the white WNU soldiers were pretty brutal and portrayed as bad.
