This movie bludgeons you over the head with its metaphor on racism. I got the message in the first few minutes of the film. It would have been better if the message was hidden until the end and revealed in a shocking way. Instead, it is painfully drawn out through the whole movie. After the movie I told my friend I didn't like it and he said," Don't you get it, it's about racism." I just looked at him puzzled and said," are you sure? "

I totally agree with your friend... very much so in fact. The film is clear on racism and segregation... very well done film in my opinion, however if we all viewed and liked the same stuff life would be terriby boring and what would we have to talk about!!! Your opinion is valued! Have a good one... :)
My reply to him was sarcastic. Maybe a little subtly is isn't always a good thing for some people.
