As a Tarantino fan I can say that this movie was pretty much exactly what I thought it would be. And as a Tarantino fan, exactly what I thought it would be is one hell of a great movie. Yes at 2hrs 45 min like most of the directors work, it could use a bit of a trim. Yet I honestly can't think of a part of the film I would not want to see. It features another scene stealing performance by Christoph Waltz as a German bounty hunter, as well as brilliant turns by both Leonardo DiCaprio as a cruel plantation owner and Samuel L Jackson (his best role in years) as his uncle-tom house "you know what". The film also has the requisite amount of brutality and carnage, Tarantino trademarks, though some still might fined it upsetting. Clever, well written and very funny. A solid addition to the director's ever-expanding resume of quality films.
