Henry Koster's so so filming of Rogers and Hammerstein's Broadway hit which to me is almost second class R + H despite the delightful music. The plot about immigrants to San Francisco's Chinatown, the whole argument of marriage all seem to be hopelessly anachronistic. The actors do their best and there are some cute moments, but Flower Drum Song is simply too dated a film to take seriously in 2015.
