Filmmaker Les Blank visits his friend and colleague Richard (Ricky) Leacock at his farm in Normandy and records conversations with him about his 70 years of filmmaking and his other passion - cooking! In the early 1960s, Leacock and others built hand-held cameras that could record synchronous sound, gaining unprecedented access to their subjects and creating a body of work that influenced the following generations of filmmakers. Clips of Ricky's films, and his talent as raconteur bring to life the highlights of Ricky's career and the magic moments on film that, until 1960, had never been seen.
