Africa today.
Johnny, a fifteen-year-old child soldier armed to the teeth, is haunted by the "mad dog" that he wants to become. With his commando, No Good Advice, Small Devil and Young Major, he steals, pillages and kills everything that crosses his path. They're teenagers bombarded with Hollywood images and warped information who play at war.
Thirteen-year-old Laokolé transports her crippled father around in a wheelbarrow, trying to imagine the future that her brilliant school results promised her. She endeavors to escape her town overrun by child soldier militias with Foto, her eight-year-old brother. While Jonny advances, Laokolé takes flight.
Childhood cut short, Africa ravaged by absurd wars, a people trying, in spite of everything, to survive and safeguard its humanity.
