I just want to throttle Tarantino. Oh the possibilites! After creating an artistic masterpiece in volume one, writer/director Quentin Tarantino decides to abandon his vision and chase after this long and drawn out story that never seems to go anywhere. He got a lot of heat after Kill Bill Vol. 1 premièred because a lot of ignorant jackasses said it was cheesy and over the top. So he changed the style entirely and tried to tell this ridiculously complex and deep story that was never told properly. To be brutually honest to Tarantino, he is not much of a storyteller and needs to stick with what he does well. What an ending too. Good God how crappy was that? Tarantino builds up to what we think is going to be this powerful climax and then it just ends. Just. Like. That. Blah. Some interesting original bits in the script though, very imaginative on Tarantino's part which added a lot to the movie and saved it from total disaster. Some nice performances by all the cast, especially David Carradine who I wish we'd seen more of. I guess at the end of Kill Bill Vol. 2 all you can say is "I wish that had gone somewhere". Annoyingly disappointing was the continuation. Volume one however gets a 10/10.
