Great acting, costumes, cinematography, editing, directing. The Oscar belongs to Daniel. He WAS Lincoln. For me, the film depicted how politics is still now what it was then. A series of deals made behind the scenes, unbeknownst to those out of the loop and who do not read the fine print. If it wasn't for that backhanded way of doing things, nothing might ever get done in Washington. Despite how Obama oversold himself when he promised us change, it continues to be "business" and "politics" "as usual." Interesting look at the 13th Amendment though.
