I saw Mariages during the Montreal International Film Festival and what a disappointment! The cinematography is dull, grey and lifeless and the scenes were long and pointless. Perhaps I missed something along the way that would have made this movie special... But to put it simply... It's not. It's apparent that this is a first film for the director.
