Another of Frank Capra's great stories about the common man. In Meet John Doe, a reporter's fraudulent story turns a tramp into a national hero and makes him a pawn of big business. Capra might have had and held an idealism of EVERYMAN but he concocted some great films out of his personal philosophy. His films heped Depression Era America a great deal with their common touch and home spun truths... and this Capra continued throughout the rest of his career that went to 1963.
