I loathe Woody Allen as a person so generally I don't see his movies in theatres- but I enjoyed "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" so much last year, I couldn't resist seeing this film. I've been to Paris and the film captures it perfectly. Rachel McAdams is funny. The premise is charming and well-executed. But I agree with the reviewers who said it fell short on theme. That the past is not as perfect as we fantasize it to be is a trite observation. I hoped for so much more. It was beautiful to watch and very enjoyable. Don't miss "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" on Video on Demand/pay-per-view, it is even better.
