I'm torn. On the negative side, much of the movie did not make sense at all. So many events/ sequences did not tie in with anything at all, as if different writers worked on individual segments and no one thought of continuity. There were too many attempts to tie in with jokes that worked in the original and just went flat this time around. Why was Rita Wilson in the movie at all? Nia Vardalous and particularly John Corbett were very weak and unconvincing. However, I still really enjoyed it. Nia's parents and aunt (Andrea Martin) were fabulous --- all excellent actors. The new jokes were hilarious and days later we are still referring to them. And the cast of other family members --- all unique and very endearing. So, on "overall quality" - maybe a "4". On "personal enjoyment" - a "9".
