Those expecting a John-McClane-in-the-White-House type of movie will be disappointed. The action sequences are top-notch, but suspension of disbelief only goes so far. This movie expects viewers to leave their brains at home and make some really ridiculous assumptions. Furthermore, movies like DIE HARD work because the main character (e. g. John McLane) is vulnerable, takes a huge beating yet overcomes insurmountable odds to save the day. Instead in OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN, Gerard Butler's character is nearly invulnerable - after the first few skirmishes we are never really concerned for his safety. Your money will be better spent elsewhere.
