The Bordelon siblings, Nova, Charley and Ralph-Angel, no longer live close to one another. They have been estranged for some time. Nova works as a social activist. Charley is the wife of a basketball player in Los Angeles. Ralph-Angel recently started over after a stint in jail. The siblings suddenly find themselves pulled back together by the loss of their father and an inheritance in the form of the family's Louisiana sugar cane farm. Can the Bordelons continue to handle their own life struggles and rebuild connections with one another while managing and growing the family's 800-acres of sugar cane?
