There are moments in this movie that are hilarious and the story moves well! At one point before our two principals meet, there is an exchange where we see exactly what difficulties both individuals have dealing with their disabilities. There is no shortage of comic moments, both Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor are super! I wish the DVD would have had some outtakes, they would have been fantastic! One scene in particular comes to mind, when they escape the jail, and they take a Police Cruiser! Gene's (Hearing Impaired) character is still hand cuffed, and Richard's (Blind) character is driving the getaway vehicle with Gene's character directing him! An all out laugh fest!!
