The characters of Paul Giamatti and Paul Haden Church are perfect foils for each other, pathos versus child-like impetuousity. Great scenes of the California wine country and the crazy humour make up for the fact that there are too many spots where the pace the of the film slows down to a crawl. Yet, it's a good movie that's worth watching. Pinot noir sucks, Merlot rules.
