The last half-hour may be the best ending of any Bond movie, but the beginning and middle is ho-hum; so it is probably not my favourite installment of the film franchise. However, Javier Bardem is an excellent villain, as the sexually ambiguous Silva. While Quantum of Solace was trying to be a Bourne movie, I detect a slight Dark Knight influence here. Previous 'Bond Girls' have been more attractive than the two in this one. The introduction of a new 'M' and 'Q' was long overdue. I predict Daniel Craig will make just two more 'Bond' movies because, in Skyfall, they are already emphasizing in the story that he is getting too long-in-the-tooth.
