Joan Crawford entered her third decade in film with this film noir directed by Warner contract director Vincent Sherman. Joan is a tough as nails lady fed up with her small town marriage wanting the bigger things in life. She gets mixed up with much more than she ever bargained for. Good, solid, if typical Warner drama of the period!
