It could have been much better, but it was too long and filled mostly with battle scenes that were completely unnecessary. This trilogy could have been two amazing movies, but the studio wanted to make more money, so they made three ok movies, which is disappointing because I'll likely never sit through them again, and I was really looking forward to that. The 3d was excellent as were the effects, but the dialogue was weak and sparse. Just when you think that the battle is lost another army comes flying over a hill and joins the fight; this happens over and over. By the end of the movie I had seen so much death that when main characters are killed in battle I felt nothing for them, felt no loss. Nothing spectacular, but still a really good movie, for sure. I wonder if they'd consider editing these down to two movies and releasing them on dvd. That would be awesome. Maybe some online nerd will do it for us.
