You would think that a martial arts film produced by Tarantino, set mostly in a Chinese brothel ran by Lucy Liu, featuring an assortment of characters from ex-WWE wrestler Batista to Oscar winner Russell Crowe would be pretty damn awesome. Yet despite all the high-flying, blood spurting, crouching tiger mayhem on display the film is never particularly exciting and the first half drags quite a bit. Visually inventive at times, especially at finding new ways to dismember people, yet nothing that rises the film to any worthwhile, or significant level of interest.
