It was as much about people as it was this completely over the top ridiculous mansion. The filmmaker kept a remarkably even hand and did not exploit the family despite the her subjects. The relationship between the husband and wife was fascinating but terribly sad. Men like Siegel wield power, political and otherwise, in our societies and the reality of what goes in their home and within the family is a stark contrast to the personal values they promote in public. PS* Sorry to see the AMC Forum go to the very overpriced Cineplex Corp. It's really the end of competition amongst movie theatres downtown. Good for the Dollar Cinema and other alternative venues, though.
