The great charm of this documentary is that it does indeed show how collaborative an effort putting on an opera must be. All aspects of the arts from stage production and sets, to acting, singing, director and maestro (orchestra) duo importance has to all come together for at least a 'good' production. The Nathalie Dessay portion of the feature shows an artist in the development of a new stage character, no easy feat as Violetta in La Traviata is one of the most famous and performed operas world-wide. Interesting process of an opera in its various stages prior to an opening night!
