WORLD 1-1 is the first in a documentary series on the history of video games, beginning with Atari and how they created a whole new industry. In its heyday, Atari was the fastest growing company in the entire United States, kick-starting the careers of Steve Jobs and many others. WORLD 1-1 tells the story of how Atari created the video game industry years before it should have happened, and follows the lucky deals and unfortunate mistakes that almost destroyed the entire industry just as quickly as it was born. The world's first successful arcade machine was built there, along with the first popular home console. Atari and its engineers formed the gaming industry we know today. It is time to tell this story, in the words of the creators themselves.
